MSC in Top 100 Colleges and Universities in the Philippines on the Web

VYP MSC Institute of Technology is among the 277 colleges and universities in the Philippines included in the World Ranking Web of Universities, according to the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.

MSC is ranked 49th in the Philippines, and 11,304 in global rank in this prestigious list.  In overall ranking, MSC is just below De La Salle College of St. Benilde, Mariano Marcos State University, and De La Salle Lipa.  It is just above Adamson University, University of St. La Salle Bacolod, St. Mary’s University of Bayombong and  Batangas State University.

MSC is number 49 in the Philippine Top 100 Colleges and Universities according to Cybermetrics Lab of Spain.

MSC ranks even higher at 21st spot in terms of Web Presence with a global presence rank of 4,848, a few notches below Ateneo de Davao University (rank 15, global presence rank 4,464), and ahead of Far Eastern University (rank 22, global presence rank 5,064),  University of the East (rank 24, global presence rank 5,033) and UP Los Baños (rank 25, global presence rank 6,079)!

MSC’s rank is driven mainly by its web presence, and the volume of informative content it has been publishing for many years. The MSC web presence is a collaborative effort by its research staff and students trained in various Internet and information technology

MSC is the acknowledged Internet pioneer in San Pablo, setting up the first ISP(Internet Service Provider) in 1998 to bring the countryside closer to the global Internet community. The domain has been publishing quality Internet content since then, on various geographic and historical topics.

Today, MSC has at least 25,000 content pages indexed by Google, and its pages are cited as authority pages all over the Internet.  This includes at least 90 pages directly referenced by Wikipedia (The Free Encyclopedia) on various topics:

The Search for MSC Outstanding Alumni Is On!

MSC announces the Search for MSC Outstanding Alumni!

In celebration of the MSC 25th Foundation Day and 25 years of commitment to technological education, emphasizing Math, Science and Computing, VYP MSC Institute of Technology wishes to honor outstanding former students who have succeeded in their fields of endeavor.

MSC recognizes the achievements of its graduates as its contribution to their families and communities and to society as a whole; its legacy of excellence in educating the youth.

Nomination for MSC Outstanding Alumni is open to graduates of the High School Department and two/three year courses in Computer/ Internet Technology, Programming , Office Management/ Bookkeeping, Computer Drafting, Computer Technician/ Computer Hardware Servicing, Entrepreneurship, and short courses in Fundamentals of Computer Operations, Caregiving, and Finishing Course for Call Center Agents.

Deadline for nomination is on October 31.

Any MSC former student, Class, faculty, or staff may nominate one or more alumni subject to the requirements for nomination. Nomination form may be requested through or at the MSC Office, San Gabriel, San Pablo City.

On Dec. 4, 2014, we will be celebrating our 25th Foundation Day. In line with this, we have lined up many activities leading up to the Foundation Day celebration. We invite all to forward and share this newsletter 25 Math Short Cuts to friends in the MSC community to disseminate information about the event. Every week, we will also feature a very useful math technique, a bit of MSC history, and MSC today.
