MSC Sportsfest 2014
This year’s MSC Sportsfest was held last October 27 to 29 and started with a parade of the teams in the San Gabriel-San Miguel area. After the parade, a short opening program was held at the green school campus followed by the first event, the Cheerdance Competition. Grade VIII won first place, followed by the Seniors, placing second and third place went to the Freshmen.
MSC Origins part X: MSC HS Opens at MSC Annex
In 1995, MSC was occupying the 4th floor floor of the La Suerte building along Rizal Avenue, MSC main and the former Agrix Supermarket along A. Fule St. fondly called MSC annex.
Before the end of school year 1995-1996, a local event caused the displacement of numerous students, and they frantically looked for high schools to enroll in.
Stories from the Alumni: Joanna Erlano
KWENTONG MSC
Sa MSC ko natutunan na bawat isa ay may angking talento. Sa tulong ng masisigasig na mga guro, principal na si Ma’am Lerma at ni Sir Ike, naranasan naming linangin ito.

Currently a Masteral student at TUP-Manila
Trivia: MSC, Official Tabulator ng Bayan
We can not quite remember when MSC first became the tabulator of a contest, but as far as we can remember, numerous organizers and groups have always tapped MSC resources for tabulation purposes. By resources, we mean computers, printers and manpower.
Being a computer company and running a computer school means that computers are readily available, but having people willing to volunteer and owners who are willing to lend these people and equipment is something else.
Conversion: Feet and Inches to Meters
Filipinos (and most Americans) are more accustomed to using Feet and Inches in measuring their heights. But the Philippines is officially on the metric system, so we are often required to give our heights in meters or centimeters. It is not difficult to approximate if we remember the following:
- 100 centimeter = 1 meter
- 1 foot = 30 centimeters (cm)
- 1 inch = 2.5 cm
- 4 inches = 10 cm
So how do we compute 4’ 8”? How about 5′ 6?? 6′ 11?
MSC 16 – Multiplying Complementary Numbers
Complementary numbers are numbers with the same initial digits and the sum of the last digits equal to 10.
The technique in multiplying complementary numbers is similar to that of squaring numbers ending in 5 (By one more than the one before) except that the right hand part is not 25 but the product of the last digits
Example 16.1: Find 46 x 44
= 4 x 5 | 6 x 4
= 20 | 24
= 2,024
